Lift Kit on 2023 GMC Sierra 1500

Build Summary

Both GMC and Chevy gave their half-ton trucks a facelift back in 2022. While these trucks look largely like the generation that was released in 2019, the interiors saw a drastic improvement. This was a much needed improvement; even cloth interiors look good in the GM vehicles now. However, one improvement that was needed that was not done at the factory was a bit more ground clearance and some 35s!

Alpine GMC South here in Colorado Springs sent us this truck. SoCo is entrusted with upfitting brand new vehicles from local dealerships here in Colorado. If you have dreams of building your truck when you purchase it, let financing know to contact us and these modifications can be wrapped into the whole deal.

This truck was purchased by one of those types of customers. It started off as a GMC Sierra 1500 “Elevation Package”. It is the cloth interior package that is most popular here. The customer opted for the budget boost in a 6” Rough Country lift kit. The lift is achieved through spacers up front, and we used the Rough Country N3 shocks in the rear to help with the extended travel. Many new trucks owners will get this lift, allow their factory struts to wear a bit, before opting to swap those for the more capable M1 Monotubes, or the off-road focused Vertex remote reservoir shocks.

The wheels are often what customers get most excited about, and what can really set off a unique build. We opted for the MotoMetal Sniper in a 20x10 and a -18 offset. Black and milled really breaks up the black coloration of the truck.

We wrapped those in a 35x12.50 Toyo AT II Xtreme. These appear to be a more RT deep tread style tire than the traditional AT II from Toyo.

If you are in the market for a new truck and want to put a lift on it, or are just trying to upfit your old truck, SoCo is here to help bring a uniqueness to your truck, rather than being just like everything else you see on the road.
